FREQUENTLY-ASKED QUESTIONS

What are your Covid-19 protocols and how are you keeping players safe?

All of our staff members are fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Please find our detailed Covid-19 protocols here.

What should I bring to camp, and what should I wear?

Players are strongly recommended to wear shin-guards and cleats, although it is not mandatory for our half-day camps. Players should wear shorts and a T-shirt, but should pack something warm to wear in case of cooler weather or rain. Day campers should also bring a snack or lunch. The Georgia sun is very hot and we highly recommend the use of sunblock. Please be sure to bring enough clothes and socks for the entire camp. Campers will not have access to laundry facilities. Overnight campers should bring sheets and blankets or a sleeping bag, plus a pillow and towel and any toiletries they may need. A camper information packet will be emailed to you approximately 2 weeks prior to camp which contains a detailed listing of what you will need to bring to camp.

DO CLUB SOCCER PLAYERS ATTEND FUTURE STARS SOCCER CAMPS?

We have players from local soccer clubs across Metro Atlanta including UFA, NASA-Top Hat, GSA, Concorde Fire and Inter Atlanta.

Does my child need to bring his or her own water?

Water and Gatorade stations will be placed on the field and water will always be available for the campers. However, we strongly encourage all our campers to bring their own water bottle to help reduce the environmental impact of throwing away paper cups after each trip to the water jugs.

What happens if my child is injured or sick during camp?

Qualified trainers will be on duty for the duration of all camps to care for minor injuries and illness. Parents or guardians will be contacted immediately if there is a serious injury or a child needs to leave camp early for a medical reason. Please make a notation on the medical portion of your registration if there is any medical condition we should be aware of in advance of the camper’s attendance to our soccer academies. Our athletic trainer will be available for questions on the first day of each camp and throughout the week.

If it rains, will camp be cancelled?

No, the camps will not be cancelled.

What if my child is sick or injured and cannot attend camp? Do I get a cash refund?

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations must be requested in writing in order to receive a camp voucher applicable for Future Stars Soccer Academy events. Your email request must be submitted to us at info@fssoccercamps.com. Registration fees from Active will not be credited. If we are not notified of cancellation prior to the start of camp, full tuition will be forfeited.

If your child becomes sick or injured during the camp, you will be entitled to a prorated voucher from the time you check-out of camp less any non-refundable camp charges (e.g., dining charges, etc.) incurred by the camp. All camp expenses will be closed 30 days following camp.

WHERE DO THE CAMPS TAKE PLACE?

All camps take place on the beautiful campus of Oglethorpe University located inside the I-285 perimeter near the heart of Atlanta. Future Stars Soccer Academy campers will primarily use the Turf Soccer Field. This is the same field that the Oglethorpe Men’s and Women’s soccer teams use. There are also a number of other excellent grass fields used during each camp located on the other side of the Oglethorpe campus.

What does each camper receive?

Each Future Star camper receives a camp T-shirt.

My child is a goalkeeper. Will you have goalkeeper coaches for his or her specialized training?

Yes, specialized goalkeeper training will be conducted during each camp week by our excellent goalkeeping staff.

Are campers required to wear the apparel they are given?

Each camper can wear any soccer equipment they wish. There will be some instances where each camper will have to wear their camp T-shirt.

When is the balance for camp due?

All registrations must be paid in full by June 1 for camp weeks 1, 2 and 3 and before July 1 for camp weeks 4 and 5. A late fee in the amount of $25 will automatically be added to your balance if the entire balance is not received by the due date. Future Stars is proud to be one of the only camps that offers a payment plan option. We will work with you to ensure your camper balance is paid in full by the deadline.
